This industry is steeped in tradition. Sometimes, a memorial requires an additional inscription or verse that needs to be an exact match to the existing typeface.

This can cause difficulties when trying to identify or source the correct typeface to match an existing one. With years of experience in typographic styles and embellishments, we can draw on a whole range of resources to provide an exact match for even the oldest and most traditional forms of lettering - with the ability to create bespoke typefaces from scratch in the case of paticularly obscure or difficult to find fonts. It usually starts with taking a rubbing of the existing memorial to help with the identification process, but there are a wide range of techniques to draw from.
